Administrative Decision No. (56) of 2024
Regarding Maritime Safety Maps
Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport
Having reviewed Law No. (1) of 1974 regarding the reorganization of the government apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
- And Law No. (16) of 2005 regarding the reorganization of the Environment Agency and its amendments,
- And Law No. (19) of 2006 concerning the establishment of the Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
- And Law No. (30) of 2019 concerning the establishment of the Department of Municipalities and Transport,
- And Decision No. (36) of 2021 regarding maritime speeds and determining usage zones in the waterways of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
- And Emiri Decree No. (11) of 2023 regarding the reconstitution of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
- And the Chairman of the Executive Council's Decision No. (21) of 2018 regarding additional competencies for the Department of Transport,
- And based on the requirements of the public interest,
It has been decided as follows:
Article (1)
1- The updates and amendments to the maritime safety maps attached to this decision are hereby approved, which include:
- • Speed limits.
- • Navigation routes and transit zones.
- • Prohibited zones, maritime activities, and anchoring areas.
- • Map keys and general instructions.
2- The Integrated Transport Centre shall publish, update/amend the maps through the means it deems appropriate to achieve their purpose.
Article (2)
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into effect from the date of its publication.
