Administrative Decision No. (119) of 2016
Regarding the Issuance of Work Orders for Road and Park Maintenance in the Municipal System
Chairman of Municipal Affairs and Transport:
- Having reviewed the provisions of Law No. (1) of 1974 on the Reorganization of the Governmental Apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amending laws.
- And Law No. (1) of 2006 on Civil Service in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, its executive regulations, and their amendments.
- And Law No. (4) of 2006 on the Establishment of the Department of Transport.
- And Law No. (18) of 2006 Issuing the Financial System for the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Law No. (9) of 2007 on the Establishment of the Department of Municipal Affairs.
- And Law No. (11) of 2007 on the Establishment of Al Ain City Municipality and Municipal Council.
- And Law No. (6) of 2008 on Procurement, Tenders, Auctions, and Warehouses, and the manual issued thereunder.
- And Emiri Decree No. (2) of 2016 on the Restructuring of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Article (1)
The annual operational budget shall be used by the competent department in the municipal system for necessary and essential needs, such that it is limited to issuing work orders for road and park maintenance for the following works:
1. Preserving the aesthetic appearance of the city.
2. Removing eyesores.
3. Maintenance of anything affecting the safety of road users.
Article (2)
The competent department shall submit a monthly report to the Director-General of the Municipality including all work orders that have been issued.
Article (3)
The current mechanism for issuing work orders shall be replaced to be in accordance with the mechanism detailed in the annex to this decision.
Article (4)
This decision shall come into effect from the date of its issuance, and all concerned parties shall be notified to act accordingly.
