Decision of the Chairman of the Department No. (80) of 2010
Regarding the Exemption from Fees Prescribed for Public Parking
The Chairman of the Department:
- After reviewing Law No. (1) of 1974 regarding the reorganization of the government apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (4) of 2006 concerning the establishment of the Department of Transport, as amended by Law No. (5) of 2008.
- And Law No. 18 of 2009 regarding the regulation of vehicle parking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its implementing regulations issued thereunder.
- And Emiri Decree No. (15) of 2010 concerning the reconstitution of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
It is decided as follows:-
Article (1)
The General Manager of Parking, in coordination with the concerned departments, shall review the applications submitted to the Department regarding the exemption of urban project owners who have had their no-objection certificates or necessary approvals to start their projects postponed for reasons related to the requirements of studies conducted by the Department for some projects such as the metro, tram, and other projects related to the Department's work.
Article (2)
The General Manager of Parking shall submit his recommendations in this regard after studying each case separately, taking into consideration the duration of the postponement, the value of the project, and the number of parking spaces required, to the Executive Director of the Land Transport Sector for approval.
Article (3)
All exemption requests, accompanied by the appropriate recommendations, shall be submitted to the Chairman of the Department for final approval after being approved by the Executive Director of the Land Transport Sector.
Article (4)
This decision shall be effective from its date and shall be circulated to all concerned authorities for implementation, each within its jurisdiction.
