Decision of the Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport No. (19) of 2020
Amending certain provisions of Executive Regulation No. (22) of 2019 concerning the Traffic Tariff
in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
The Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport,
Having reviewed:
- Law No. (1) of 1974 on the reorganisation of the government apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (19) of 2006 concerning the regulation of taxi transport in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (17) of 2017 concerning the Traffic Tariff in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Law No. (30) of 2019 concerning the establishment of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.
- And the Decision of the Chairman of the Department of Transport No. (22) of 2019 concerning the Executive Regulation of the Traffic Tariff Law in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And based on what was presented to the Executive Council and its approval.
Has decided the following:
Article (1)
Amending certain provisions of Executive Regulation No. (22) of 2019 concerning the Traffic Tariff in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Article (2)
Clause No. 8 of Schedule No. (4) attached to the aforementioned Regulation, regarding the exemption of electric vehicles from the application of the traffic tariff, shall be repealed.
Article (3)
Any text or provision that contravenes or conflicts with the provisions of this Decision shall be repealed.
Article (4)
This Decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
