Administrative Decision No. (111) of 2022
Regarding the Amendment of Certain Provisions of Decision No. (209) of 2016
Regarding the Executive Regulations for the Organization of Vehicle Parking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

- Having reviewed Law No. (1) of 1974 on the Reorganization of the Governmental Apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
- And Law No. (18) of 2009 Regarding the Organization of Vehicle Parking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
- And Law No. (30) of 2019 Regarding the Establishment of the Department of Municipalities and Transport,
- And Emiri Decree No. (1) of 2019 Regarding the Restructuring of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
- And Executive Council Decision No. (72) of 2022 Regarding the Change of Days for Applying the Darb and Mawaqif Toll Systems,
- And Executive Council Decision No. (75) of 2022 Regarding the Exemption from Parking and Traffic Toll Gate Fees,
- And the Chairman of the Department's Decision No. (209) of 2016 Regarding the Issuance of the Amended Executive Regulations for the Organization of Vehicle Parking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
- And based on what was presented to the Executive Council, and its approval thereof,
The following has been decided:
Article (1)
A new clause shall be added to Article (3) of the Chairman of the Department's Decision No. (209) of 2016 (Exempted from paying parking fees for vehicles belonging to entities) as follows:
- Military and civilian vehicles of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defence, General Command of the Armed Forces, State Security Department, National Intelligence Agency, and Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
- The aforementioned vehicles must be marked with a clear sign indicating their affiliation with these entities or show proof thereof.
Article (2)
The times during which public parking is subject to fees, as stipulated in Schedule (A) Main Surface Parking and Sub-Surface Parking of the aforementioned Decision No. (209) of 2016, shall be replaced with the following text:
"Parking shall not be subject to fees on Sundays and official holidays, and the application hours may be amended according to the parking area to serve the public interest."
Article (3)
Any text or provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this decision shall be repealed.
Article (4)
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into effect from July 15, 2022.
