Ministerial Decision No. (190) of 2021
Concerning the amendment of Appendix No. (2) attached to Federal Law No. (22) of 2016
on Regulating the Possession of Dangerous Animals
The Minister of Climate Change and Environment,
- - Having reviewed Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the competencies of ministries and the powers of ministers, and its amendments,
- - And Federal Law No. (22) of 2016 on Regulating the Possession of Dangerous Animals,
- - And based on the requirements of the public interest,
Has decided:
Article (1)
Appendix No. (2) attached to Federal Law No. (22) of 2016 on Regulating the Possession of Dangerous Animals shall be amended in accordance with the appendix attached to this Decision.
Article (2)
All concerned authorities in the State shall implement the provisions of this Decision, each within its own jurisdiction.
Article (3)
Any provision that contravenes or conflicts with the provisions of this Decision shall be repealed.
Article (4)
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force from the date of its publication.

The import and use of dogs as service animals, emotional support animals, or for medical purposes are subject to the following conditions:
- Providing a documented certificate from a training center stating that the dog has been trained for one of the mentioned purposes.
- Providing a medical report on the owner's health condition that supports the purpose of using the dog.
- The dog's owner shall undertake not to transfer its ownership to others, abandon it, or breed it, and to comply with the requirements stipulated in the relevant legislation.
