Administrative Decision No. (5) of 2025
Regarding the Regulation of Heavy Vehicle Traffic on Abu Dhabi City Roads

Having reviewed Law No. (1) of 1974 on the Reorganization of the Government Apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
And Law No. (19) of 2006 regarding the Regulation of Taxi Transport in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments,
And Law No. (30) of 2019 on the Establishment of the Department of Municipalities and Transport,
And Emiri Decree No. (11) of 2023 on the Reshaping of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
And Law No. (16) of 2022 on the Licensing of Drivers and Vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,
And Federal Decree-Law No. (14) of 2024 on the Regulation of Traffic and Roads,
And Federal Decree-Law No. (12) of 2023 regarding the Regulation of Weights and Dimensions of Heavy Vehicles,
And based on the requirements of the public interest,
It is decided as follows:
Article (1)
The movement of heavy vehicles (trucks, tankers, and heavy equipment) on Abu Dhabi City roads is prohibited from Monday to Thursday during the period specified in the table below:

Article (2)
The movement of heavy vehicles (trucks, tankers, and heavy equipment) on Abu Dhabi City roads is prohibited on Friday during the period specified in the table below:

Article (3)
The Integrated Transport Centre shall coordinate with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to ensure heavy vehicle owners comply with the specified times.
Article (4)
Any text or provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this decision is hereby repealed.
Article (5)
This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
