Administrative Decision No. (185) of 2020 Regarding
The Formation of a Unified Inspection Committee for Industrial Warehouse Projects
The Director-General of Abu Dhabi City Municipality:
- Having reviewed Law No. (1) of 1974 regarding the reorganization of the government apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (10) of 2007 concerning the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Municipal Council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (6) of 2016 regarding human resources in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Administrative Decision No. (84) of 2020 concerning the matrix of powers for senior management in the Department and its affiliated entities.
- And Law No. (4) of 1983 regarding the regulation of construction works in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, its executive regulations, and their amendments.
- And Administrative Decision No. (730) of 2019 concerning the matrix of powers for Abu Dhabi City Municipality - Sixth Edition.
- And based on the requirements of the public interest.
It has been decided as follows:
Article (1)
A unified inspection committee shall be formed in Abu Dhabi City Municipality, chaired by a representative from the Building Permits Department, with the membership of representatives from the following service entities:
- A representative from Abu Dhabi Distribution Company.
- A representative from Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company.
- A representative from Emirates Telecommunications Corporation - Etisalat.
- A representative from the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
Article (2)
Tasks of the Unified Inspection Committee
1. To inspect industrial warehouse projects under construction in a unified manner and within a specific timeframe.
2. To raise awareness among consultants and contractors about the unified inspection initiative and its expected positive outcomes.
3. To coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure the completion of inspection works on time.
4. To submit reports and challenges to the Building Permits Department periodically.
Article (3)
This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall be circulated to all concerned parties to adhere to its provisions, each within its jurisdiction.
