Administrative Decision No. (132) of 2014
Regarding the Trading of Inherited Public Housing
The Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs:
- Having reviewed Law No. (1) of 1974 concerning the reorganization of the government apparatus in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments.
- And Law No. (3) of 2005 concerning the regulation of real estate registration in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Law No. (19) of 2005 on Real Estate Property and its amendments.
- And Law No. (9) of 2007 concerning the establishment of the Department of Municipal Affairs.
- And Law No. (10) of 2007 concerning the establishment of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Municipal Council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Law No. (11) of 2007 concerning the establishment of the Al Ain City Municipality and Municipal Council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And Law No. (10) of 2006 concerning the establishment of the Western Region Municipality and Municipal Council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- And the letter from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs No. 4880/27 dated 15/5/2007.
- And the letter from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs No. 2062/2/3 dated 2/4/2012.
- And the letter from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs No. 2699/2/3 dated 27/4/2014.
- And the letter from the Crown Prince's Court No. CPC/B/201400/6833/7 dated 1/6/2014.
- And pursuant to the powers and competencies vested in the Chairman of the Department and as required by the interest of the work.
Has decided the following:
All municipalities shall treat inherited public housing that is sold directly to a buyer under court rulings as tradable real estate, similar to inherited public housing sold at public auction.
This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be communicated to whomever it may concern to act accordingly, each within their jurisdiction.
